Gerardo played at Sierra College and then transferred to the University of Southern California where he graduated in 1991. He played professionally overseas in Spain for two seasons before returning to Los Angeles and graduating from Pepperdine University with his Masters degree in 1995. During the mid 90's he was on staff at the Orange County Department of Education designing and implementing academic, counseling, and sports programs.

He entered into real estate development in 1996 and is currently Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations for All American Homes and Estates. In 1998 he married his college sweetheart and they live in Stevenson Ranch with their 7 year old son.
Gerardo's love of the game has been a constant in his life as has been passing along the lessons and joys of playing basketball to younger generations.

  Dr. Joshua Mitchell
     
       
       
 

Dr. Joshua Mitchell has been serving the Santa Clarita Valley in the medical field for over seven years. He attended Purdue University in Indiana, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern California University of Health Sciences, earning his Chiropractic Doctorate. He played high school basketball and soccer, as well as Division II college soccer.

Dr. Mitchell specializes in Sports Medicine. He is the team doctor for several of the local high school athletic programs as well as the Master's College. He enjoys playing basketball and golf and going snowboarding and mountain biking. Because of this active lifestyle he has experienced athletic injuries and knows what it feels like to be "sidelined." The focus of his practice is on minimizing these types of injuries and getting the athlete back into competition as quickly as possible.
Dr. Mitchell consults with patients about their nutritional needs and provides all natural, whole food supplements for optimal bioavailability, including clinical detoxification and weight management. He is skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of auto related injuries. He performs gentle and safe chiropractic techniques, including maternity and pediatric chiropractic care, as well as postoperative rehabilitation. He and his friendly staff are committed to helping individuals and families reach optimal spinal and physical health through chiropractic care and sports medicine. Dr. Mitchell has experience working on children of all ages.
Dr. Mitchell is currently the Medical Coordinator for US Basketball University. He will be attending practices and games throughout the season. Mike is a pillar of the officiating community in Southern California. He has been a Junior College official since 1992 and has officiated over 30 Junior College playoff games. He has been a High School official since 1980 and currently is on the CIF Board of Directors for officials and is the Co-Instructional Committee Chairman. He also has 25 years experience as a coach at the high school level.

We are fortunate to have Mike leading our team of officials which are comprised only of local referees with High School and/or Junior College playoff experience. The result is that we have only the best of the best officials refereeing our games at the U.S. Basketball University.
As outstanding an official as Mike is recognized to be, he is an even better person as evidenced by his continued work for the past 17 years with students at the William S. Hurt Union High School District. He lives locally with his wife of 35 years.
His passion for the game of basketball is tough to beat and he continues to enjoy assisting the youth of the SCV learn and enjoy the game.

Coach Nana attended Kennedy High School where he was selected to the all valley and city teams. After high school coach Nana transferred to College of the Canyons where he set two scoring records and made first team All-Conference and pre season All-American.

From there coach Nana Transferred to Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. Coach Nana played for Washburn for one season and then transferred to Henderson State where he started 34 out of 35 games and helped Henderson State to a 30 and 5 season.
He was selected a second Team All-Conference selection while pursuing a degree in sociology. After college Nana came back to California and worked out for several NBDL teams as well as a number of foreign teams.

Myron played college basketball at the University of California Riverside and has coached Youth and Travel Basketball teams for over 25 years. Currently, he is the Athletic Director of the Santa Clarita Basketball Academy (SCBA) where Coach Watkins personally trains young athletes in developing their basketball skills for advancement through their travel team and high school programs.

Myron lives locally and enjoys working with the youth of the SCV and brings a tremendous amount of energy and experience to the U.S. Basketball University.

Coach Taylor began his basketball career at Shamrock High School in Atlanta Georgia where he was a stand out big man and nationally recruited player. Coach Taylor went on to attend Oklahoma State University where he was named to the Freshman All-American team before transferring to Tuskegee University in Alabama.

Following a short stint as a recording artist on famed Death Row Records, he now works as a celebrity bodyguard while heading his own music production company. Coach Taylor resides in the Santa Clarita Valley with his wife and their three children.

Tiffany played DI NCAA basketball at Wright State University before transferring to Master's College. While at WSU (2001-2003), she set school records for most points in a game, 49, and 1000+ pts in 2 years. She was also named first team All-League

While at Master's College (2003-2005), she was named NAIA DI All-American. She set school records for most points in a game, 46 and most three-pointers in a game, 9. She was also named First team All-League and Master's College Female Athlete of the year.
Tiffany coached JV high school basketball at Bellbrook High School in Ohio and was an assistant coach at Master's College in 2007.
In 2007 she received her Masters degree from the University of Dayton.
She is currently a 6th grade teacher at Legacy Academy as well as the Head Coach for the Boy's team. She lives in Santa Clarita with her husband and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children.

Rendon played varsity basketball on both coasts at Chapin High School in Chapin, SC and at Hart High School in Newhall, CA. He graduated from Hart in 2008, and redshirted his freshman season at Master's College.

He is currently playing for College of the Canyons. He is a business major, and would love to coach full-time after he graduates and is done playing.
Rendon has 2 young brothers whom he has spent time coaching and has worked multiple basketball camps as well as refereed youth sports for a number of years. He has a real love of children and a passion to help them improve s basketball players.

Joey started for the Varsity squad at Ramon Valley High School for three years. He earned first team all-league honors as a senior.

Coach Fuca is currently the starting point guard at The Master's College.
Joey loves working with kids while having experience with Summer Basketball camps with Christ Kids Sports Ministry and Masters Camps. He is from Danville, CA and has two sisters and one brother.

Dean played his junior year at the University of San Francisco under the Hall of Fame coach Eddie Sutton and helped him to his 800th win in NCAA Division I basketball. Last year he played at the Master's College and proved himself to be a talented swingman and consummate team player. He averaged 15.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.1 steals per .

After an outstanding prep career in Mississippi where he was ranked the No. 16 player in the state by magnoliapreps.com he started his college career at IUPUI. He was forced to redshirt due to an ankle injury and transferred to Holmes College where he had a stellar Sophomore campaign and was named honorable mention all-state and selected to the Mississippi State All-Star team.
Next year he will be a fifth year senior at The Master's College and is looking to be one of the top players in the conference.
Dean has had the opportunity to play and learn under some great coaches and values all of the fundamental skills that should be taught to young players as they learn the game of basketball. Dean has Division I level ability and has aspirations of playing professional basketball after graduating next Spring. He enjoys passing on the lessons that he has learned about the game to the youth of the SCV.
